Olaoluwa Joined Rocket Internet GmbH to launch Jumia Nigeria—Africa’s most successful online retail store. At Jumia, Olaoluwa worked as a Financial Reporter before acting as the Pricing Analyst/Planning, Commercial Planner in charge of the Books and Children, Drinks categories, Senior Financial Analyst and the Business Intelligence Analyst. He helped build the pricing models, production optimization models, shipping matrix and consulted in the development of the same for sister Jumia ventures in Africa. He worked as the Financial Analyst for the Office of the CEO at Venture Garden Group, strengthening the financial systems for a group of fast-growth tech-related companies. He has worked with several entrepreneurs and start-ups in Nigeria, the Caribbean and the United States independently, and he’s a co-founder of SureGifts. Babafemi studied Computer Science at the University of Lagos. He worked with PZ Cussons as an export officer, and Samsung as a Data Analyst/Retail Manager, before joining Rocket Internet to launch Jumia in Nigeria. Babafemi leads Business Intelligence in the Operations division as a Controller Analyst and has worked in roles within Purchasing and Business Analysis. Femi works on Data Analytics for Numbers, and he’s a co-founder of SureGifts.
Adeoye has a degree in Statistics from the Federal University of Agriculture, Ogun State. After completing a program in Venture Enterprise and Management from the Pan African University, he joined Stanbic IBTC, and Steller Express to work in customer service and data analysis. He later joined Rocket Internet to build Jumia in Nigeria. There, led the Business Intelligence team in the Marketing division, providing sophisticated marketing analytics and data. He is now an Online Marketing Consultant for UBA’s e-commerce division. Adeoye provides online marketing insights for Numbers, and he’s a co-founder of SureGifts.
Having worked in retail banking for two years as an Investment Analyst at JT Bank and Trust in Grenada, Adrian earned a degree in Banking and Finance at the University of the West Indies, where he received academic merit awards throughout and graduated with First Class Honors. He proceeded to the London School of Economics for Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance. He is a member of the CFA institute and he has presented and published papers on the optimal levels of financial reserves and debt levels in small island states for the Commonwealth Secretariat. He lectures at the University of the West Indies, Barbados, and he will deal with issues regarding Corporate Finance for Numbers.
